Monarch 2800 Technical Spec's
Composition
MONARCH CW-SYSTEM 2800 IS A CURTAIN WALL SYSTEM using PVC-U profiles reinforced by hot dipped galvanized steel and 3 direction fastening system. High quality silicon sealant is used as an impervious water barrier which is highly resistant to UV attacks, ozone and weathering.
CW-System 2800 Characteristics
1. Multi-Chambered Profiles
This feature provides excellent sound and heats insulation and also provides adequate space for drainage system.The drainage holes should permit the water to escape from the transom (horizontal member).
2. Adjustable Fasteners
MONARCH CW-SYSTEM 2800 fasteners have better design than the traditional cheap curtain wall system. The material is corrosion resistant having 20 um of electro zinc plating. Other accessories such as bolts and nuts, brackets are stainless steel or corrosion resistant materials.
3. Glazing
The system is designed to accommodate the glasses from 6mm single glass up to 18 mm double glass.
4. Mullion Joint
The height of each mullion is one storey high. In between mullion joint there is an expansion joint of approximately 15mm and can be adjusted according to mullion height. The expansion gaps are covered by silicon sealant and are specially designed for the absorption of thermal expansion and earth movements.
5. Drainage Slots
A 50mm – 60mm gravitational fall drainage system is designed in transom external surface for easy water penetration to prevent water accumulation and to prevent water wind-blown rain splashing in to the building. Pressure inside and outside the weather shield should be equalized. Air infiltration is under 2cu.m./hr. m2.
6. Vents/Openings
In accordance with various functional requirements vents/opening windows such as “Tilt & Turn windows”, sliding windows and PVC-U doors can be built in the system. Water resistances for turn windows and picture windows at 35 kgf /m2 and 100 kgf/ m2respectively. |
