Profiles
The main profiles form the basis of the system and are so designed that optimum reinforcement and insulation is guaranteed. The out side of the window can be either flush or non-flush. By choosing the right correlation to neighboring forms, an economical and architecturally satisfying construction can always be found. This is especially relevant for old houses. The favorable cross section guarantees maximum light penetration.
Reinforcing
Windows and doors should be reinforced according to the diagrams (see working guidelines). Zinc coated steel profiles are inserted as reinforcing sections, which guarantee the high rigidity of the system through maximum use of the depth of the profiles.
Sealing
The central sealing system in combination with the casement and flush frame construction makespossible the most varied type of sealing combination, depending on technical and configurationally needs and wishes. In addition, the central sealing system guarantees the greatest possible protection of the latching mechanism from damp. The sealing profiles are of aging and weathering resistant synthetic rubber, called EPDM.
Glazing
The glazing conforms to latest standards and is carried out as dry glazing. The glass joins are ventilated and drained to the outside. The panels are expertly glazed with non-expanding material according to the blocking out guidelines.
Insulation glass with a total glass thickness of 20mm is provided as standard. The glass-holding profiles arehowever so designed that alternatively single glass or multiple glasses can be substituted.
Mounting
Fixing the window construction must be properly carried out by using a sufficient number of steel band fastenings or plugs. Fixing should be at 400 mm centers. The construction must be installed vertically and at the right angle. Fixing of the windows and doors must be done in such a way that loosening of the fastenings during cleaning or normal use is possible.
Sealing (as required)
Sealing between the plastic profiles and the building as well as of all joints resulting from the building in, are to be sealed with a silicone based permanently flexible mastic. Before sealing, a primer should be applied. All sealing materials must be compatible with each other and also with any building material they come into contact with. A polyurethane silicone (tube) pressed between the outside frame and the wall provides heat insulation.
Latches
The type and dimensions of the latch-mounting slot are determined by Euro-Standard fittings. It is thereby guaranteed that all normally available fittings can be optimally mounted. All fittings must be protected from corrosion, or made of non-rusting materials. Aluminum parts must be anodized to an equivalent standard. Only those normally available fittings may be used which are fixed to plastic profiles with screws. |
