PVC-U Material
materialsThe material used to manufacture PVC-U profile is a polyvinyl chloride (PVC) compound in the form of powder or pellets which is mixed together with    additives to achieve the desired structural strength and color The profiles are formed by heating this mixture to a temperature of 360 deg. F and transforming it in to molten state. Single screw or twin-screw extrusion processes are used to force the molten PVC material, under high pressure through the dies that has been specially machined into the cross-section of the required profile. The resulting PVC-U profileis next pulled through a series of down stream calibration chambers in which they are cooled in to rigid linear lengths.

The structural strength characteristics of the extrusion are directly related to their chemical composition While the dimension tolerances are determined by the quality and type of profiles.
