"Wesbster" defines a window as.... "an opening in a building admitting light and air and having a fixed or movableble pane of glass set in a frame". Until a few years ago, this is an accurate description, however, the window definition has become far more than just "something to fill an opening". Window and Door are integral part of the exterior and interior design of residential home and commercial buildings. And now, there is a wide selection of window and door styles in a variety of shapes, sizes, materials and colors which conforms to performance standards based on energy conservation and structural considerations. A few years ago, aluminum and wood were the most popular building materials. Today, PVC is challenging these leaders. PVC-U window system was introduced in Europe in the early 1970's and within a decade, it accounted for 45% of the European window market share. Introduced here in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the PVC-U window market has been making extra-ordinary studies and is expected to grow even more significantly during the next few years. |
